At Worts & Wards, our goal is to make the transformative power of natural alchemy an everyday experience. But, what exactly does that mean?
What we do
Worts & Wards creatively embodies two central tenets of any spiritual or alchemical practice:

WORT
[wurt, wawrt]; noun
1. (in combination) any of various unrelated plants, esp ones formerly used to cure diseases: e.g., liverwort; spleenwort; mugwort, etc.
WARD
[wawrd]; verb (used with object)
1. to avert, repel, or turn aside (danger, harm, an attack, an assailant, etc., usually followed by off): e.g., to ward off a blow; to ward off evil.
We work with carefully chosen artisans and makers to provide a curated selection of plastic-free candles, ethically sourced crystals, incense and smoke bundles, organic bulk herbs, specialty tea blends, all-natural bath and body products, and more. You’ll find a selection of our own branded line alongside a variety of other creators that produce small-batch, handcrafted goods and bespoke wares.

Why we do what we do
At its core, Worts & Wards is about building community. For us, one of the most exciting aspects of launching this business was the opportunity to uplift and empower so many different people at every level of engagement with our shop—from our customers to our vendors, into the neighborhood stretching beyond our storefront.
